She has also participated in MSK Awards as Chief Judge (2014) and part of the judging panel (2013).Also was a council Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya (2013-2015) and has consecutively appeared on the highly acclaimed list of “Top40 under 40 women”. She has published and presented a paper on “The challenges of conducting research in Africa” South African Market Research Association (SAMRA) Convention and was awarded the Eddie Shultz award for contributing to the development of research methodologies in Africa. As a council member of the Market and Social Research Association of Kenya (MSRA) she has been instrumental in designing and facilitating an advanced research training course for the market research industry in Kenya.

Carol Wanyama is a visionary leader, and the incumbent Vice Chairperson of the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK). She has led from the front, and served with passion and diligence, as part of the team that has changed the image and perception of this society, into what it is now. Carol Wanyama also serves as a member of the Advertising Standards Committee (ASC), whose mandate is to provide governance, solve industry disputes and support growth and development of advertising standards across the industry. She is a Master’s Degree holder in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, as well as an alumnus of Daystar University, for her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Tony Gatheca

Tony is the immediate past Chairman of MSK. He has been a member for the past 8 years. 2 as an ordinary member, 2 as a council member, 2 as a Vice Chair and 2 as Chairman in the year 2012-2014.
During his term he oversaw the growth of the Society from an income of kshs 5.5M in 2012 to kshs 18M in 2014, a 300% improvement. He also grew the profitabilityof the Society from a loss position of kshs 200,000 to achieve a kshs 5.6M surplus in just 2 years at the helm.
He is a Career marketer having graduated from Daystar University with a BCOM degree specializing in Marketing and later obtained his Global Executive MBA from USIU.
He brings with him 15 years experience having worked in some of the leading media houses in Kenya such as Nation Broadcasting and Radio Africa and The Capital Group where he headed the commercial departments and gained Advertising Agency experience having worked for McCann Erickson in the Client Service department.
Having acquired 10 years employment experience between the years 2009 and 2009 he proceeded to co-founded Transcend Media Group, an integrated marketing and communications agency based in Nairobi. TMG is affiliated Globally to IPG (Inter Public Group) which houses McCann Worldgroup, Media Brands and Lowe and Parteners. TMG has presence in 6 Eastern African countries, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Wthiopia and South Sudan.
Tony is also a Trustee of the Kenya Audience Research Foundation (KARF), Council member of the Advertising Standards Committee and sits on the board of Superbrands East Africa.

Alex Masika is a seasoned professional with 15 years’ experience in marketing, sales, business development, customer relationship management and logistics. He has also been an active council member at the MSK in the last term where he participated in all meetings and events, has been a regular contributor of the Sokoni magazine, provided advisory services which led to a tremendous improvement in revenue growth and was also a judge in one of the most important events in the Kenyan calendar, the MSK gala awards. Other projects she has participated in are Story Moja Hay Festival as Special Programs Intern, Marketing Society of Kenya Intern in the events department and has worked on MSK projects (October-December 2014) with the major one being the Annual Gala. Kuya also coordinated hundreds of entry submissions for the Gala Awards Category 2014. She has also worked at Sondeka – Creative Department Intern. Amongst her responsibilities that have cultivated her aptitude in leadership, teamwork and organizational skills include: CITAM Valley Road Teens’ Church served as the committee leader (2012-2014) where she co-led a team of 14 in coordinating a group of 1,000 teenagers. Marketing Students Association (The University of Nairobi)- Organizing Secretary 2014-2015. Marketing Society of Kenya Students National Council (SNC) – Special Projects Manager.
