Samwel Godphrey Ombogo is a seasoned marketing and business executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, business transformation, and private sector development. He brings over a decade of leadership experience across Kenya’s leading media and communications organizations, including Nation Media Group, The Standard Group, and Royal Media Services.
Over the years, he has built a strong track record in brand strategy, corporate communications, business development, partnership management, and organizational growth. His expertise spans strategic marketing, media relations, stakeholder management, revenue growth, and the development of high-impact engagement platforms within dynamic and evolving business environments.
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Marketing Society of Kenya, Samwel provides strategic and operational leadership aimed at advancing the marketing profession, strengthening industry collaboration, promoting professional standards, and enhancing member value across Kenya’s marketing ecosystem. He also champions innovation, thought leadership, professional development, and strategic partnerships that position the Society as a leading voice in marketing and business transformation.
Samwel is a graduate of Strathmore University and Strathmore Business School. He also holds Executive Education in Public Policy and Private Sector Development from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies Leadership Academy for Development.
