ABOUT

Juliah is a highly skilled communications practitioner with extensive experience in peace, conflict management, and diplomacy. She is currently serving as the Manager of Corporate Communications and Marketing at the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) in Kenya, a position she has held since July 2017. In 2018 to 2021 she acted as the deputy director Corporate Communications and Marketing before resuming her initial title as the manager.

In this role, Juliah is responsible for developing and implementing NHIF’s communication and marketing strategies, managing media relations, and promoting the organization’s brand to the public. She has played a key role in enhancing NHIF’s communication and marketing efforts, which has resulted in improved stakeholder engagement and increased public awareness of NHIF’s services and programs.

Also served as a Media and Communications Officer for the Kenya Broadcasting Corporationon, where she was responsible for editing and directing of news during prime time.

Juliah holds a Master’s Degree in International Conflict Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and from the same university. She is also a certified mediator and conflict resolution expert, with a wealth of experience in promoting peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution in various contexts. With these skills she is a good public speaker in regards to peace and conflict management.

Currently she is persuing her PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She lectures Masters students on Peace in the same university.

She has done and published a paper internationally on “ THE JUDICIAL APPROACH AS THE LONGEST APPROACH TO CONFLICT MANAGEMENT IN KENYA. “
