I am at the forefront of leading a New Perception of Marketing in Africa, specifically for home-grown companies, to plan for Marketing as a capital investment. My dream is to witness African owned companies dedicating efforts to Strategic Marketing as part of CAPEX right from inception of a business instead of the current view of the function as an afterthought and a ‘lifejacket’ in sinking times.”

Weslene’s passion for Marketing began in her academic years where she was awarded Top Student in the country in Introductory Level of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) course. She continued to pursue CIM to Professional Postgraduate Level after completing her Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Marketing) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT). Furthermore, she holds a Master of Arts in Communication (Strategic Corporate Communication) Degree from United States International University.

Weslene enjoys sharing building communities with interests in various Marketing topics and sharing Marketing Content on social media. In her free time, she prefers to indulge TV and comedy shows. “Everything is so serious in life so in my free time, I want it to be relatable, but not that serious”.

She is a dedicated daughter, niece, cool aunty and favoured child of God.
